Suzuki has taken the wraps off neo-retro middleweights — the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT. While based on the same platform as the GSX-8S, these new models offer a more classic take on middleweight bikes
To begin with, the styling of the bikes is properly retro. The GSX-8T draws cues from the 1960s T500 “Titan” and features a round LED headlamp, wide handlebars, and bar-end mirrors. The 8TT, meanwhile, gets a sportier touch with a headlight cowl and a colour scheme that harks back to Suzuki’s 1970s race bikes.

Powering the Suzuki GSX-8T and GSX-8TT is the 776cc, parallel-twin engine, which is already seen in the GSX-8S, GSX-8R, and V-Strom 800. It continues to deliver around 83bhp and 78Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter. The engine has a 270-degree crank, offering strong mid-range punch and a distinctive exhaust note.
Underneath, both bikes use a steel frame with an aluminium swingarm, suspended on USD forks and a monoshock. They ride on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres. The 8T tips the scales at 201kg, while the slightly more decked-out 8TT weighs 203kg.

In terms of features, the bikes get three ride modes, traction control, quickshifter, and all-LED lights.
There’s no official word yet on an India launch, but with the V-Strom 800DE and GSX-8S already on sale here, Suzuki could consider the GSX-8T and 8TT as a special offering.
