The 2026 edition of the Student Moto Tech Challenge, organized by CRA Motorsports has been announced. The SMTC is a workshop aimed at providing engineering students the chance to learn and understand the basics of motorsports and the key role that automobile engineering plays.

The Student Moto Tech Challenge will be held over three days, from 10-12 February, 2026, at the Kari Motor Speedway International Circuit in Coimbatore. Students from engineering colleges will be divided into five different groups. On Day One and Day Two, students will attend the certification workshop. Here they will learn about team management, ECU remapping, suspension settings, sprocket and tyre management, as well as a rider development course. The workshop will also focus on vehicle dynamics, motorsports operations, and telematics.
After the students are certified, they participate in the Challenge on Day 3. The students are evaluated in the following categories- Pit Stop Management, Drag Run, Time Attack, and Best Manager. The winning team gets a 6 months internship in Malaysia with CRA Motorsports Team.

Engineering students from around the world who are willing to participate in the Student Moto Tech Challenge 2026 can register with the CRA Motorsports. Registrations begin on 23 June.
