Royal Enfield has taken the wraps off the Himalayan 750 prototype at EICMA 2025, hinting at the brand’s big leap in the middleweight adventure-touring segment. It will be the first RE bike to be based on the 750cc platform and will sit above the Himalayan 450.
At the heart of the Himalayan 750 is a new 750cc, parallel-twin engine. While Royal Enfield hasn’t revealed the official specifications, the motor appears to have a longer stroke than the 650cc twin. A quick back-of-the-head calculation suggests that it could develop close to 54-55bhp and nearly 65Nm of peak torque.
A closer look at the prototype also reveals that it runs a completely new chassis with a redesigned headstock and a new subframe. The suspension setup is new too, featuring adjustable USD front forks and a linked monoshock. It rides on tubeless wire-spoke wheels, although a touring variant with alloy wheels has been spotted testing earlier. Braking duties are handled by twin front discs and a single rear rotor.
Design-wise, the Himalayan 750 looks like a massive departure from its smaller sibling. The bike features a retro-ADV styling with a large fuel tank, retro-looking semi-fairing, raised tail section, and an upswept exhaust. The overall stance is tall and purposeful, and the styling looks familiar to the Husqvarna Norden 901.
Royal Enfield showcased this as a development prototype, with a “Testing in Progress” tag displayed alongside. The company has confirmed that more details will be shared at EICMA 2026, suggesting that the production model could debut towards the end of 2026 or early 2027.
