- New QJ SRK 421 RR launched in Europe
- Significantly cheaper than the Ninja ZX-4RR
Chinese two-wheeler giant, QJ Motor, is not only big in its home country, but it is also striving to establish a strong hold in the European markets. The company recently expanded its European portfolio by launching the new QJ SRK 421 RR, a close rival to the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR but with a much lower price tag of £5,299 (approximately Rs. 6.47 Lakh). The Kawasaki, meanwhile, costs a steep £8,799 (approximately Rs. 10.74 Lakh).

Besides the inline four engine, the highlight of the bike is its futuristic and radical design. The front end, in particular, looks dramatic with a curved, dual-pod LED headlamp with a central air intake and small yet purposeful-looking windscreen. The headlamp joins the layered and edgy side fairings, which seamlessly blend with the muscular fuel tank and the svelte, upswept tail section. Complementing the fancy design are modern features including a sizeable seven-inch TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, two ride modes, traction control, and ABS.

Coming to the heart of the matter, the SRK 421 RR is powered by a 421cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which produces 76bhp at 14,000rpm and 39Nm of torque at 13,000rpm. These numbers are almost identical to its arch rival, the Ninja ZX-4RR. Underpinning the bike is a steel-aluminium frame which is suspended by USD forks and a monoshock, both being Marzocchi-sourced adjustable units. Brembo disc brake setup at both ends handles the speed shedding duties.
