- QJ SRT 300 DX unveiled
- Packs impressive specifications
- To be launched in European and Southeast Asian markets
Chinese bike maker QJ Motor seems to be trying to grab a piece of the lucrative dual-sport pie in the international markets with the unveiling of its new SRT 300 DX. Going by its body style and displacement, it’s a direct rival to the likes of the Honda CRF300 Rally and the Suzuki DR-Z400.
The QJ SRT 300 DX looks visually inspired by multiple bikes, but that’s not surprising given Chinese brands are known for that. The SRT looks like a mix of the Honda CRF300 Rally, Africa Twin, and the MV Agusta Enduro Veloce. It seems to have a good road presence nonetheless. What’s more impressive are the specifications, which make it look like a capable dual-sport machine.

The SRT 300 DX rides on a 21-18-inch spoke wheel combination with knobby tyres. While the suspension travel isn’t known yet, the USD forks and monoshock certainly look long and lend the bike a tall stance. What we know is the ground clearance which stands at 275mm which, to give you a reference, is more than the Kawasaki KLX 230 by 10mm. What comes as a compromise is a staggeringly tall seat height of 890mm which, again, is higher than the KLX by 10mm.
All of this is held on by a steel frame and propelled by a 292.3cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 28bhp and 24.5Nm. Lending it a great power-to-weight ratio is its mere 157kg kerb weight, which means it should be a peppy machine to rip through trails.
The QJ SRT 300 DX will hit some European and Southeast Asian markets soon. It’s unlikely to come to India anytime soon.
