
The Ola S1 Pro+ was recently launched in India. It is the company’s most powerful electric scooter and it gets several other changes over its predecessor. Here are its highlights.
New Gen platform
The Ola S1 Pro+ sits on the company’s new Gen 3 platform. The scooter has a new mid-drive motor, unlike the hub mounted motor on the Gen 2 scooter. The belt drive has also been ditched in favour of a new chain drive system, like you find on most motorcycles. This has been done to reduce noise, however, one must be mindful of keeping the chain lubed. Lastly, the scooter gets a new brake by wire system with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Most powerful motor
The Ola S1 Pro+ is currently the most powerful electric scooter in the market. It has a 13kW motor and with the 5.3kWh battery, it is capable of propelling the scooter to a claimed top speed of 141kmph. More importantly, it can sprint from 0-40kmph in 2.1 seconds. There is a 4kWh version as well with which the Ola S1 Pro+ takes 2.3 seconds to get up to 40kmph from standstill. The top speed, meanwhile, stands at 128kmph.
Massive range
The Gen 3 Ola S1 Pro+ scooter with the 5.3kWh boasts of a large battery that has been developed by Ola themselves. It has an IDC range of 320km. Meanwhile, the 4kWh battery has a claimed range of 242km. Expect the real world range to hover around the 200km mark.

Features galore
Ola is known to throw in a lot of features on the scooter and the new Gen 3 S1 Pro + is no different. It gets a touchscreen TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. In addition to this, there are four ride modes- Eco, Sport, Normal and Hyper.
Price and competition
The Ola S1 Pro+ is priced at Rs Rs. 1.55 lakh.The scooter is available in two variants – 4kWh and 5.3kWh. The top-spec version costs Rs. 1.70 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
