Ola Electric rolls out discount offers on its S1 e-scooter range

Ola Electric has rolled out a set of offers to boost sales in India. These offers are valid until 17 March 2025 and apply to purchases across India.

According to this new offer, the S1 Air gets a discount of up to Rs 26,750, whereas the S1 X Plus Gen 2 gets a Rs 22,000 discount. There’s a discount of Rs 25,000 on the recently launched Gen3 range of S1 e-scooters as well. Interestingly, the company hasn’t mentioned whether these are cash discounts and will apply to the ex-showroom price at the time of purchase. These discounts could also be rolled out as complimentary insurance and extended warranties. On its official website, the company did have terms and conditions that say ‘Offer varies across different variants in different states’.

These discounts from Ola Electric are a way to push sales into the market. The company has lost great market share over the last few months to companies like TVS and Bajaj. While these offers should be considered as they will bring down the overall cost of ownership, it is important to get full clarity of the discounts from the nearby Ola showrooms. This will help in making sure there isn’t any confusion at the time of paying the full amount for the Ola e-scooter.
