- Shares key parts with the Scrambler 400 X
- Gets 17-inch alloy wheels
- Street-focused with rugged styling
Triumph is doubling down on its 400cc platform. A new test mule has been spotted in Europe, hinting at an expansion of the brand’s entry-level lineup.

This upcoming model appears to blend urban practicality with adventure-ready style. While the windscreen, mirrors, and exhaust are lifted from the Scrambler 400 X, the flat-track-style side panels and a new single-piece seat give it a distinct identity. What really stands out, though, are the 17-inch alloy wheels—a clear sign that this bike is tuned more for the tarmac than the trail.

It seems Triumph is aiming to plug a gap between the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X—a motorcycle that looks tough but is built for the street. The tyres may look off-road friendly, but everything else indicates a city-centric machine with rugged charm.
Interestingly, Triumph is also prepping a Scrambler 400 XC variant, set to debut in the coming weeks. With a higher price tag than the 400 X, it could shift the lineup, possibly paving the way for this new model to replace the 400 X altogether.
