- Available in DX and DX+ variants
- Gets an IDC range of 116km
- Top speed of 90kmph
Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd., the electric vehicle division of the larger Kinetic Group, has today launched the DX electric scooter in India, priced at Rs. 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom) for the DX variant, while the DX+ costs Rs. 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom). The new scooter marks the rebirth of the iconic Kinetic DX, albeit in electric form.
The DX draws styling inspiration from the original Kinetic Honda DX. The overall design silhouette pays homage to the DX, but incorporates modern styling elements. Every panel takes cues from the iconic DX, but looks every bit modern and fresh. The new Kinetic DX sports a distinctive LED headlight, flanked by ‘Kinetic Logo-shaped’ LED DRLs. The stubby visor, with the Kinetic branding, adds a subtle nod to the Kinetic Honda DX.

Under the bodywork, the Kinetic DX uses a 4.8kW hub-mounted BLDC electric motor. The scooter uses a 2.6kWh LFP battery pack, offering an IDC range of 116km. That said, the ARAI figure is yet to be revealed. The top speed is pegged at 90kmph and the scooter comes with three ride modes: Range, Power, and Turbo. There’s also a reverse mode for parking assist.
Feature-wise, the Kinetic DX comes with cruise control, 8.8-inch instrument cluster, built-in speaker with Bluetooth connectivity, keyless system, hill hold assist, and more. The scooter also comes with a unique Easy Charge system, which incorporates the charger in the scooter’s body for added convenience.

The electric scooter is available in two variants: DX and DX+. The top-spec DX+ variant essentially comes with the Telekinetic telematics system that offers various connectivity features such as geo-fencing, vehicle tracking, find my Kinetic, and more. The scooter comes with a three-year/30,000km standard warranty, which can be extended to nine years/1,00,000km.
Bookings are open, but are limited to 40,000 units initially. The Kinetic DX rivals established competition like the Bajaj Chetak electric, TVS iQube, Honda Activa e:, and more. It will also face competition from new-age EV makers such as the Ather Rizta, Ola S1 Pro, and the Vida VX2.
