Hero MotoCorp launched their most awaited 150cc motorcycle, the new Achiever today. With a price tag of Rs 61,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Achiever will cater to the premium commuter segment, where there’s a room to grow. While you’re still figuring out which 150cc bike to buy, we bring you a detailed photo gallery of the new Hero Achiever 150.
The headlamp is on the angular side and that’s the only aggressive part of the bike. The sharp creases gives the Achiever 150 a distinctive look.
The fuel tank is bigger than its predecessor and looks better too. It’s curvy and reminds us of the defunct Suzuki GS150R.
The instrument cluster looks basic with the analogue design. However, the overall layout makes the clock good to look at. Gets side stand indicator as standard.
Hero MotoCorp is offering the new Achiever 150 in two versions - disc brake and drum brake. There’s disc brake only at the front. At the rear both version get the same 130mm drum unit.
The 150cc engine is BS-IV compliant and generates 13.4bhp at 8000rpm and peak torque at 12.8Nm at 5000rpm. This engine transfers power to the rear wheel via a five-speed gearbox.
This bike is equipped with i3s technology. If the bike is idling in neutral for more than five seconds, this system kills the engine. Pull the clutch and the bike starts again.
Body colour rear view mirror is a nice touch by Hero MotoCorp. It makes the bike look little more premium and adds substance.
The new Achiever 150 gets an all-time headlamp on (AHO), which was first seen on the Splendor 110 iSmart. The headlamp stays on during the entire journey of the bike.
