New Bikes and Scooters Launched in January 2026

January 2026 was quite an exciting month. We saw a lot of interesting bikes and scooters coming to India, everything from powerful supersports to affordable electric scooters. Here’s a list of all the new models that were launched during the month:

Ducati

Ducati started the year launching its most potent track weapon, the Panigale V4 R, at Rs. 84.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike has got a lot of upgrades compared to the standard V4 and the V4 S to make it more track capable.

Later in the month, the brand launched the special edition Panigale V4 Tricolore. This special edition is limited to 1000 units globally, and a few will be coming to India. It gets special asymmetric liveries designed by Aldo Durdi.

KTM

KTM launched the RC 160 in India at Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This is the second bike in the Austrian bikemaker’s new 160cc platform. It will go up against the Yamaha R15 in India, giving riders a good sports bike alternative in the 150-160cc segment. We had done a comparison between the two in the past, and here’s how they stack up against each other.

The brand also brought the international-spec KTM 390 Adventure R to India as well. It comes equipped with longer travel suspension, bigger wheels and off-road oriented tubed type tyres. The bike is surprisingly less expensive than the standard 390 Adventure.

Bajaj

Bajaj launched the updated Pulsar 125, with a slightly reworked design and LED lighting, at Rs. 89,910 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated bike looks quite good, and the new design has given it a modern touch.

The Chakan-based bikemaker also updated the Chetak lineup with a new model, called the Chetak C2501. This is the most affordable Chetak today, priced at Rs. 91,399 (ex-showroom). Although it is positioned as an affordable model, it doesn’t make any compromises on the important features.

Suzuki

Suzuki India finally entered the electric scooter market with the launch of the E-Access. It is positioned as a family-oriented scooter but is significantly more expensive than its competitors.

Suzuki also updated the Gixxer and Gixxer SF 250 in India, with two new colours. In addition to this, the brand had also announced extended warranty benefits as well. The new colours look quite elegant and have given both models a much-needed visual refresh.

Simple One

Simple Energy updated its scooter lineup with the Gen 2 models. The brand has also unveiled a new flagship model called the Simple Ultra. The updated lineup now starts at Rs. 1,49,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Kawasaki

Kawasaki has updated the Ninja 300 for 2026, with two new colours: Lime Green and Candy Lime Green/Ebony. Both feature refreshed graphics that help differentiate them from the 2025 lineup. Aside from the colour change, the bike remains mechanically unchanged.
