Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 3001 electric scooter in India at Rs. 99,990 (ex-showroom). This e-scooter is built on the Chetak 35 series and replaces the Chetak 2903.
Some of the major highlights of the Chetak 3001 are its 127km claimed riding range in a single charge and a 35-litre under-seat storage, which the company claims is the best in its class. It gets a floorboard-mounted 3.0 kWh battery, and a 750W charger comes standard. It takes close to four hours to charge from 0 to 80 per cent.
In the features department, the scooter gets the same instrumentation that has call and music controls, hill hold, reverse light, and guide-me-home lamps. There's smartphone connectivity as well, which can be used to analyse the overall ride data.
The bookings for the Chetak 3001 have commenced across all showrooms, and the deliveries are expected to begin from the end of this month. Bajaj is selling this e-scooter in three colours - Red, Blue, and Yellow.
