    • Based on Yamaha’s 562cc 47bhp parallel-twin TMAX maxi-scooter
    • Carbon add-ons, aero winglets and a bespoke seat

Mansory Maxi Scooter is based on the Yamaha TMAX 560 and is only available on request for a select few on the planet. What matters is how outrageous the finished machine looks. Mansory has taken a performance maxi-scooter and covered it in exposed carbon, aerodynamic add-ons and a striking turquoise finish. The result is completely unnecessary, thoroughly impractical for us in India, and very difficult to stop looking at.

The project ‘Mega Scooter’ idea followed the response to its earlier customised Vespa Monaco Edition and the subsequent interest in a modified Yamaha TMAX. It already has proportions that sit somewhere between a large scooter and a sports motorcycle. Mansory has simply exaggerated every part of them. The broad front bodywork is now framed by carbon components, the sides appear much more layered and the rear gets small wings that would look perfectly normal on an expensive supercar but seem wonderfully absurd on an automatic scooter.

    Yamaha Seat

The seat’s very special here. Standard unit makes way for a bespoke two-piece-looking design finished largely in the same turquoise colour as the body. It gets quilted stitching, contrasting black sections and matching piping. The rider’s back support is integrated into the design, while the finish extends onto the pillion portion.

At the front, Mansory installs an add-on cover containing an illuminated company logo, new air-intake sections and carbon covers for the mirrors. Further back are additional upper and lower side panels along with prominent side aero winglets, again carrying illuminated Mansory branding. There is also a carbon front mudguard addition and a carbon Mansory badge.

The opposite side gets more detailing, including what Mansory calls boomerang add-on pieces and a carbon exhaust cover designed specifically to work with the standard Yamaha exhaust. At the rear are another pair of winglets that use the TMAX’s original mounting locations.

Bright turquoise sections contrast dramatically with the exposed carbon surfaces, but Mansory has repeated the same colour through fine accent lines on the carbon components. There is also an iridescent windscreen that catches different colours depending on the viewing angle.
