- KTM is now planning on starting an in-house design studio
- Unlikely to impact the design of KTM bikes in the near future
- KTM has sold off its remaining shares of KISKA
KTM has officially ended its decades-long partnership with the Salzburg-based design agency KISKA. This comes as a result of cost-cutting, and KTM is now working to set up an in-house design studio, not in Mattigofen but in Salzburg.
KTM has sold off all its shares in KISKA to Loxone GmbH. However, the brands will continue to collaborate, and KTM will have access to KISKA’s resources. This will ensure that KISKA has a steady stream of revenue as well.

KISKA has influenced the designs on KTM models with the sharp and aggressive styling. The design agency has also handled KTM’s brand strategy, apparel, and communication. This is set to continue in the short term, but eventually, there will be much more variation as KTM takes over more of the design process.
With the separation in place, KISKA will continue to serve other clients. So far, it is not known if the design agency will continue working with Husqvarna and GasGas. Moving forward, KISKA will be focusing on diversifying its clientele, and not be dependent on a single client like it was with KTM.
