KTM recently launched the new 390 Enduro R, the more off-road-focused iteration of the 390 Adventure. We got to put the bike through its paces off-road last week, and our first ride review is already live. Now, for those lacking attention span and wanting quick information about the bike, here’s a summary of the 390 Enduro R’s important details and some of its images.

Typical of enduro motorcycles, the 390 Enduro R boasts minimal body panels, significantly fewer than the 390 Adventure. This has helped KTM shed 6kg from the former’s kerb weight over the latter.

Feature-wise, the motorcycle is a typical KTM with a 4.2-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets traction control and dual-channel ABS, which can be switched off for both wheels via a dedicated button.

For making it easier to ride off-road, KTM has employed a flat and long motocross-style along with a compact 9-litre fuel tank, which is 5.5-litre smaller than the 390 Adventure.

While it borrows its 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine from the 390 ADV, KTM has changed the final drive by incorporating a bigger 48-tooth rear sprocket, which has two teeth more than the ADV.

It rides on a 21-18-inch spoke wheel setup with tube-type Mitas Enduro Trail Plus tyres. For enduro riding, tube-type tyres make more sense as riders don’t get stuck even after cracking the wheel rim due to aggressive riding.

While the WP Apex adjustable suspension on the Enduro gets the same travel as the ADV at both ends, KTM claims it has tweaked the internals to make it suitable for more hardcore off-roading.

KTM has priced the new 390 Enduro R at Rs. 3.36 lakh, ex-showroom. The company will also introduce the higher-spec global model in our country with a slightly higher price tag.
