- Standard 390 Adventure price raised by Rs. 27,000
- 390 Adventure X gets a hike of Rs. 22,410
KTM has quietly increased the prices of the 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X in India just after the Diwali rush. The KTM 390 Adventure is now priced at Rs. 3.95 lakh, while the 390 Adventure X costs Rs. 3.26 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
The price of the KTM 390 Adventure X has been raised by Rs. 22,410, while the standard model has gotten dearer by Rs. 27,000. Earlier, when the government introduced GST 2.0, increasing the tax rate on motorcycles above 350cc to 40 per cent, KTM made headlines by absorbing the cost and not passing on the hike to customers for its 390 range.

This strategy worked wonders for KTM during the festive season, as the Austrian bike maker recorded record sales around Diwali. But, post-festivities, KTM has revisited that decision by passing on the price hike to its customers. With the revised pricing, the 390 Adventure X is now nearly at par with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Meanwhile, the on-road cost of the standard 390 Adventure has now touched around Rs. 5 lakh, a fairly steep price for this segment, even if the bike comes with class-leading features.

Despite the price hike, the 390 Adventure X offers good value over the standard model. That said, the standard 390 Adventure has an advantage over the X as it gets fully adjustable suspension and a 21/17-inch tubeless spoke-wheel setup, which gives it more off-road capability.
