KTM 200 Duke Available with Free Riding Jacket

KTM India is offering a free riding jacket with the purchase of one of its most popular motorcycles, the 200 Duke. The company announced this offer on its official social media handle and it can be availed at any KTM dealership across India.

While the jacket has ‘KTM’ branding on the chest and arms, it’s clearly a rebranded Rynox Cypher GT model. It is the most affordable offering in Rynox’s portfolio with a price tag of Rs. 4,950. It’s a jacket suitable for wearing in summer since a majority of the outer shell comprises mesh with some textile patches. In terms of protection, it gets Cerros level 2 protectors for shoulders, elbows, and back as standard. While it does come with internal pockets in the chest area, chest armours need to be bought separately.

We think it’s a good move by KTM as it not only makes buying the motorcycle a sweeter deal but should also encourage riders to wear protective gear while riding. The 200 Duke is priced at Rs. 2.06 lakh, ex-showroom. It sits above KTM’s 125cc twins in terms of pricing and performance. Powering the bike is a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 24.67bhp and 19.3Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It’s quite impressive on the equipment front with WP suspension, ByBre brakes with dual-channel ABS, and a five-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
