- Kinetic Watts & Volts evaluating international expansion
- Markets to be chosen based on potential for electric two-wheelers
Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV) is evaluating expansion into international markets as it looks to grow its electric two-wheeler business beyond India. The company is currently assessing opportunities in Turkey, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria and Egypt.
The company says these markets are being evaluated based on the potential for electric two-wheelers, local EV ecosystems, regulations and opportunities to establish distribution partnerships. Kinetic has appointed Makarand Joshi to lead its international business development. Joshi has over two decades of experience in developing overseas markets for Indian automotive products.
Meanwhile, Kinetic is also expanding its domestic dealership network. The company currently operates 45 exclusive showrooms across India and plans to open another 40 outlets over the next two months. It has also issued 150 Letters of Intent for new exclusive dealerships.
Kinetic has not announced a timeline for its international entry yet. The company is currently focused on evaluating market conditions and establishing suitable partnerships before commencing operations in overseas markets.
