The Kawasaki Versys 650 is available with a discount of Rs. 30,000. This is applicable on the ex-showroom cost of the bike, valid till 31 March. After applying the cash discount voucher, the Rs. 7.77 lakh ex-showroom price of the bike falls to Rs. 7.47 lakh. The discount should be handy for those who can use the money saved to invest in a helmet or riding gear.

The Kawasaki Versys 650 is an established adventure tourer. It is powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. It makes 65.7bhp and 61Nm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

The bike has a decent set of features. The list includes LED lights, TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, USB charging port, switchable traction control, and ABS.

As for the design, it has the signature Kawasaki twin-LED headlights that sit inside a sharp fairing and prominent tank extensions that double up as radiator guards. Kawasaki offers the Versys 650 in two colours: Metallic Matte Dark Gray and Metallic Flat Spark Black.

Under the bodywork, there’s a tubular steel frame that is suspended by a USD fork with adjustable rebound and spring preload. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels while braking is taken care of by twin 300mm discs at the front and a 250mm disc at the rear.

In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the Triumph Tiger Sport 660.
