Kawasaki India has finally launched the Versys 1100. This model, which offers several updates, is a successor to the previously sold Versys 1000. Here is a close look at it.

The Versys 1100 looks identical to its predecessor. It has the same bulky, tall build and angular bodywork. Kawasaki is offering the new Versys in a single paint scheme of Metallic Diablo Black.

Powering the Versys 1100 is a new 1,099cc inline four-cylinder engine. It makes 133bhp and 112.5Nm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The increased engine capacity has also led to a bump in the power figures. The new motor gets a higher compression ratio, heavier flywheel, and new camshafts with reduced valve lift.

The new motor of the Versys 1100 uses the same chassis as well. It is a twin-tube aluminium frame suspended on USD front forks with preload and rebound adjustability and a monoshock with remote adjustability for the same.
The braking hardware of the Versys 1100 comprises a twin 310mm front and a single 260mm rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels. These are wrapped in a 120/70 front and a 180/55 rear tyre.

The features listed on the Kawasaki Versys 1100 include all LED illumination, adjustable windscreen, cruise control, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, an IMU, power modes, ABS, and a USB Type-C charging port.

Kawasaki has priced the Versys 1100 at Rs. 12,90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
