Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R gets new colour options in Thailand

- Kawasaki ZX-25R updated with new colour options in Thailand

- Priced at BAHT 2,69,000 (Rs 6.29 lakh)

- Unlikely to enter the Indian market

Right Front Three Quarter

Kawasaki had recently launched the 2022 iteration of the quarter-litre motorcycle in the Indonesian market with two new colour options. The company has now updated the Ninja ZX-25R in Thailand with the same new paint schemes. The quarter-litre bike is now available in a total of four colour options. The two newly added colours are Lime Green/Ebony/Pearl Blizzard White and Metallic Matte Twilight Blue/Metallic Graphite. Meanwhile, it retains the Lime Green/Ebony and Metallic Spark Black/Pearl Flat Stardust White paint schemes from its outgoing iteration.

The Ninja ZX-25R is a sporty and aggressive looking motorcycle. It comes with an underbelly exhaust, single rider seat, a sharp tail section and graphics all across its fairing. It gets features like an LED taillight, slipper clutch, Kawasaki traction control system, power modes and dual-channel ABS. It is further offered with an economical riding indicator that helps the rider to extract the best efficiency from the street naked motorcycle.

Engine From Left

At its heart sits a 249.8cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that produces 50.3bhp at 15,500rpm and 22.9Nm at 14,500rpm. All this power and torque is put down via a six-speed transmission. This high revving 249.8cc mill makes the Ninja ZX-25R one of the most powerful quarter-litre motorcycles to be in production right now.

The ride here is taken care of by a 37mm inverted fork (SFF-BP) with top-out springs at the front and Horizontal Back-link, gas-charged shock with spring preload adjustability suspension at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs a dual semi-floating 310mm disc at the front and a single 220mm disc at the rear.

The bike is priced at BAHT 2,69,000, which converts to Rs 6.39 lakh. While the Japanese automaker has updated the Ninja ZX-25R in Thailand, its arrival in the Indian market seems highly unlikely because of the simple fact that it might cost as much as the Ninja 650 which is currently on sale in the country.
