- Ninja ZX-4R updated in Malaysia
- Gets two new colour options
- Mechanical specifications remain unchanged
Kawasaki has updated the Ninja ZX-4R supersport for 2026 in Malaysia. As is mostly the case with Kawasaki models, the ZX-4R has just received new colours while remaining mechanical unchanged.
The 2026 Ninja ZX-4R will be available in two colours, and the more eye-catching of them is the Blizzard White/Spark Black trim. It sports a dual-tone black and white paint scheme across its bodywork with a golden stripe running from the fairing to the fuel tank. The other paint scheme is called Metallic Moondusty Gray/Metallic Spark Black, which boasts a more understated and stealth look.

Technical specifications of the ZX-4R remain unaltered and that is acceptable considering the bike is already decked out with some performance-oriented premium bits. The highlight of the bike is its 399cc inline four-cylinder motor that makes 75.9bhp at 14,500rpm and 39Nm at 13,000rpm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and quick shifter.
Underpinned by a trellis frame, the ZX-4R is suspended by non-adjustable Showa USDs upfront and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware comprises dual front and single rear discs with dual-channel ABS. Riding aids include K-TRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) with three modes, and three power modes – full, middle, or low. There is also Bluetooth connectivity to the rider’s smartphone via the TFT-LCD instrument panel.
In India, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R was on sale until a couple of months ago for a steep price of Rs. 8.79 Lakh, ex-showroom. However, the bike has now been discontinued on our shores and unlisted from the company’s official website.
