Honda's Rajiv Sethu and RACR rider Naresh Babu dominate Round 2 of the 2018 MRF INMRC

- Rajiv Sethu maintains lead in Race 2 of SuperSport 165 class.

- Amarnath Menon finished first in Pro-Stock 301cc-400cc category.

- Muhamed Mukail claims first and sets fastest lap record in CBR 150R class. 

The Round 2 of the 2018 MRF INMRC which was held between 5 July to 8 July has concluded at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai. 

The SuperSport 165 category saw a heated battle between Honda's Rajiv Sethu and TVS Racing's Jagan Kumar in the 8 lap race. However, Rajiv managed to get past Jagan on the fourth lap after which he maintained the lead to secure a win in the category. Honda's Sarath Kumar rounded up the podium finishing third. Naresh Babu from RACR moved up two places from his Race 1 position and claimed victory in the Pro-Stock 165 class. Anish Shetty and his Honda team mate Senthil Kumar finished the race in second and third position respectively. 

The last day of the race weekend also witnessed the Honda and TVS One Make series. Continuing with his winning streak, Anish Shetty won the CBR 250R class in the Honda India Talent Cup. Placing second was Abhishek V followed by Amit Topno in third position. Securing his second win in the CBR 150R class with a 10-second lead, Muhamed Mukail also set the fastest lap timing for the category. Kartik Vasan Habib and Akshay V Murali came second and third respectively.

TVS conducted two categories of their One Make championship. Vivek Pillai claimed victory in Race 2 of the Apache RR 310 Cup. Deepak Ravikumar finished just seconds behind the race winner while Yashas RL completed the podium finishing third. In the Apache 200 Novice class, Kartik Mateti took his second win this weekend. Venkatesan placed second while AS Alexander finished third in the category. 

Amarnath Menon from Gusto Racing took home the trophy in the Pro-Stock 301-400cc category. His team mate Sathyanarayan Raju finished second with Prabhu Arunagiri from Team Alisha Abdullah right behind him. 

Round 3 of the MRF INMRC will also be conducted at the MMRT in Chennai from 10-12 August. To find out about the second day of Round 2, click HERE
