- Both bikes recalled for different reasons
- Owners of affected bikes are being contacted
- Replacement of parts to be carried out free of cost
Honda has issued a recall for the CBR650R and the CB1000 Hornet SP in India. Both bikes have been recalled for different reasons and owners of the affected bikes are being contacted through call/SMS/email for the vehicle inspection. Customers can also check whether their bike falls under the recall campaign by submitting their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Honda’s website.

Some units of the Honda CBR650R manufactured between 16 December, 2024 and 4 May, 2025 may have an electrical issue. A wiring part of the turn indicators may rub against a metal component, and a short circuit could take place due to the resultant friction and vibration, thereby causing some lights to not function. That would be against the regulatory requirements. As for the CB1000 Hornet SP, select units of the motorcycle produced between 30 September, 2024 and 22 August, 2025 might be overconsuming engine oil due to certain part-related conditions. That would hamper normal engine operation, especially if the oil level is not checked and topped up regularly.
Customers who have their motorcycles falling under the recall campaign are requested to visit their nearest BigWing Topline dealership for a vehicle inspection. The affected parts will be replaced free of cost, irrespective of the vehicle’s warranty status.
