- Honda CD 110 Dream BS6 launched in India
- Demands a premium of around Rs 14,000 over its BS4 counterpart

Honda has launched the BS6-compliant version of its commuter motorcycle, the CD 110 Dream, in India. The motorcycle is available in two variants including standard and deluxe and the prices start at Rs 62,729 (ex-showroom, Gujarat). This is a hefty premium of around Rs 14,000 over its BS4 counterpart. In order to justify that, the new CD 110 gets a bunch of updates.
Firstly, the BS6 model has received subtle cosmetic changes in the form of restyled fuel tank and under seat panel, a shorter exhaust canister and refreshed decals. Honda has also equipped the motorcycle with new features such as an ACG silent starter, DC headlamp, engine start/stop switch and an integrated headlamp beam and pass switch. For added comfort, the commuter offering also gets a longer seat.
The most important revision has been executed in the engine – the 110cc motor now incorporates fuel-injection in place of the previous carbureted setup for BS6-compliance. The company hasn’t disclosed the power figures of this engine yet. But to give you a perspective, the BS4 version churns out 8.31bhp and 9.09Nm and comes mated to a four-speed gearbox. The company claims that the revised engine is more fuel-efficient while the new HET tubeless tyres also aid in improving the mileage due to low rolling resistance.
The new Honda CD 110 Dream BS6 competes against the likes of the Hero Splendor iSmart 110, TVS Radeon and Bajaj CT 110.
