- Will feature Honda’s E-Clutch system
- Likely to cost Rs. 40,000 more than the standard model
- Expected to be launched soon
Honda BigWing has teased the CBR650R E-Clutch variant on its social handles ahead of its launch in India. The standard model is already launched in India at Rs. 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. So, expect the CBR650R E-Clutch to cost roughly around Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 40,000 more than the standard model.

The Honda E-Clutch system features servo motors mounted on a newly designed casing, which assist with gear shifting. These same servo motors also engage the clutch when the motorcycle is at a standstill, reducing rider fatigue in heavy traffic. Additionally, the rider has the option to deactivate the E-Clutch system and switch to manual control if desired.
The Honda CBR650R uses a 649cc, inline-four-cylinder engine, making it the only motorcycle in the class to have such an engine layout. The motor produces 94bhp and 63Nm of peak torque and is known for its refinement levels and linear power delivery.

The 2025 Honda CBR650R features a sharper and more aggressive styling. This is highlighted by the redesigned twin LED headlights, angular side panels, and a subtly raised tail section. Underneath the bodywork lies a steel frame suspended on Showa SFF-BP USD fork and an adjustable monoshock for improved handling. Braking duties are handled by dual 310mm front discs and a single rear disc.
As for the competition, the CBR650R rivals the Triumph Daytona 660.
