-BigWing Honda dealers have begun accepting bookings
-Priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom
Bookings for the new Honda CBR650R have been thrown open across the BigWing dealership network in India. The bike was launched last month at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The CBR650R was on sale until a few months ago when it was discontinued. Now, in its latest avatar, Honda will be hoping to make a dent in the big bike market.
For 2025, the Honda CBR650R gets a sharper, sportier styling. It looks more aggressive than its predecessor, which is evident from the shape of the twin LED headlights, the cuts and creases on the side panels and the mildly upswept tail section.
Under the bodywork, there is a steel frame which is suspended by a new Showa SFF-BP USD fork and an adjustable monoshock. Braking is taken care of by twin 310mm discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
The CBR650R’s 649cc engine is one of its biggest highlights. It produces 94bhp at 12,000rpm and 63Nm of torque at 9,500rpm. This engine is known for its smooth power delivery and refinement levels.
Lastly, the CBR650R gets a decent set of features, which includes a new five-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the Triumph Daytona 660.
