Honda India has announced commencement of bookings for the new CB650R street naked bike. The announcement was made on the company’s social media pages. Honda recently launched the bike at Rs 9.20 lakh, ex-showroom. Prospective customers can book the bike at Honda BigWing dealerships across India.
The Honda CB650R is based on the company’s neo-sports-cafe design language. From the teardrop shaped LED headlight to the muscular fuel tank and the slim tail-section, the bike has a purposeful stance.

What also grabs attention almost immediately are the four exhaust headers that indicate the engine’s inline-four configuration. The 649cc, liquid-cooled engine makes 94bhp at 12,000rpm and 63Nm at 9,500rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch.
Moving on to the hardware, the bike employs a steel diamond frame, suspended by Showa SFF USD forks up front, and a 10-step preload-adjustable monoshock. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends while braking is taken care of by twin discs at the front and a disc brake at the rear.
In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the Triumph Trident 660.
