Hero MotoCorp has announced an exchange/loyalty benefit program for its Xtreme 200S. The fully-faired motorcycle is available with an exchange/loyalty benefit of Rs 4,000. The offer is valid for a limited period, although Hero MotoCorp has not announced an end date for the program. The BS6-compliant version of the motorcycle was launched in India at an ex-showroom (Delhi) price tag of Rs 1,15,715.
The BS6-compliant Xtreme 200S is available in three colours – Pearl Fadeless White, Sports Red, and Panther Black. The mechanical specifications on the updated model include a BS6-compliant 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor instead of the air-cooled engine on the BS4 version. Linked to a five-speed transmission, the new model is tuned to draw 17.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.4Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm.
The styling, on the other hand, remains similar to the BS4 model and the Xtreme 200S BS6 continues to pack features such as twin LED headlamp, an LED taillight, a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, and the Auto-Sail technology.
The hardware includes telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock to perform the suspension tasks. The braking setup includes a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm rotor at the rear, while the safety net includes a single-channel ABS.
