Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: What else can you buy?
The updated Hero Xtreme 160R 2V has just been launched in India at Rs 1.11 lakh. The bike gets new features and a few revisions to its appearance in the form of a Stealth Black colour. It gets all of this while receiving a Rs 10,000 price cut. This certainly sweetens the deal. The bike is powered by a 163.2cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 14.79bhp and 14Nm. It is linked to a five-speed gearbox. While the Xtreme 160R 2V's value is good, here are other alternatives you could look at.
TVS Aapche RTR 160 2V Rs 1.20 lakh
The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V has been around for years but continues to sell in decent numbers—enough for TVS to keep the bike up to date. The bike's styling is old but TVS has tried to spruce it up with new colours, graphics and LED tail light. The engine is known for its peppy nature and also for being quite happy to rev. The short wheelbase makes it a flickable bike in the city and on the whole, the bike Apache RTR 160 2V is entertaining.
Bajaj Pulsar N150 Rs 1.25 lakh
The Bajaj Pulsar N150 looks like a proper, modern-day machine. From its projector light setup to its large fuel tank and slightly upswept tail section. Powering the Bajaj Pulsar N150 is a 149.68cc, single-cylinder, E20 fuel-compatible motor that will pump out 15.68bhp at 8,750rpm and a peak torque of 14.65Nm at 6,750rpm.
The bike presents itself as an interesting alternative to the other bikes in this list. The engine is refined, the ride and handling are good and the design is also appealing.
