Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition - Top five highlights

Hero MotoCorp recently launched the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition in India. The bike is based on the existing model but takes inspiration from the Hero Dakar bike. Here are five things you must know about it.

    Same design, new colour

Although the Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition looks identical to the standard bike, it is draped in a unique paint scheme of Gloss Goldfish Silver. Here, the bike gets a base colour of silver with other contrasting colours of black and red elsewhere. The paint scheme is unique and enhances the Dakar edition’s visual appeal. The fuel tank also gets the Dakar logo along with other graphics.

    Features

Hero Xpulse 200 4V TFT / Instrument Cluster

Along with the LED illumination, the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition also gets three ABS modes - Road, Off-road, and Rally. These vary the ABS intervention as per your riding condition. The bike comes with a fully digital instrument console that supports smartphone connectivity for navigation and shows incoming calls and SMS.

    Same Engine

Hero Xpulse 200 4V Front Spoke Wheel

Powering the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition is the same 199.6cc, single-cylinder engine. It belts out 18.9bhp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm and is linked to a six-speed gearbox.

    Hardware

Hero Xpulse 200 4V Right Side View

The Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition comes with quite purposeful and swanky hardware. It uses adjustable telescopic front suspension with 250mm travel and gets a ground clearance of 270mm. Further, the braking duties are done by a single front and rear disc mounted on a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wheel wrapped in 90/90 front and 120/80 rear tyres, respectively.

    Price

Hero has priced the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition at Rs. 1,67,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it Rs. 3,000 more expensive than the standard Xpulse 200 4V Pro and Rs. 16,000 more expensive than the base model.
