Hero MotoCorp has announced the Rally Kit for the Xpulse 200 4V in the Indian market. This optional kit, which brings additional components to the off-road-biased motorcycle, has been priced at Rs 46,000. Hero MotoCorp says that this kit is fully road-legal.
The Rally Kit is divided into three categories – Tyre, Suspension, and Ergonomics. The optional kit brings off-road-specific Maxxis Rally Tyres, preload-adjustable rear mono-shock, preload-adjustable front suspension, handlebar risers, bench-style seat, extended gear pedal, and extra-long side stand.
The setup increases the ground clearance to a commendable 275mm, against 220mm on the standard motorcycle. Do note that the current Rs 46,000 price tag has been listed as ‘Special Price’. Thus, the prices could go higher after a few weeks.
The Rally Kit does not bring any changes to the engine of the Hero Xpulse 200 4V. Thus, the motorcycle continues to use the 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that produces 18.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm.
