The world knows about Hero MotoCorp’s interest in green mobility. It has invested heavily in Ather and most recently, it announced a strategic partnership with a Taiwan based EV gian, Gogoro. And now, we just found a picture of one brand new Hero electric scooter leaked on social media.
It is clear from this leaked photo that this electric scooter from Hero MotoCorp is production ready. The EV looks comparatively bigger than what we usually see in the market. The design is new - something that we haven’t even seen in its petrol-powered portfolio. This clearly makes us believe that the Gurgaon-based manufacturer is developing a new range of EVs for Indian market and also possibly for exports.
Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of information on this new EV due to the poor image quality. We also checked Gogoro’s official website to figure out if it is their product. But it looks like this is a Hero product. The building in the background suggests it could be the final ready prototype as it has been spotted inside Hero’s R&D facility in Jaipur.
We are quite excited to see this new Hero EV in person. We are expecting a launch later this year or early next year but in a phased manner.
