- Prayer flags double up as compact first-aid kits
- Addresses rider safety on Himalayan routes
- Prayer flags to be distributed across popular riding hubs
Hero MotoCorp has introduced a new rider-safety initiative for motorcycle riders in the Himalayas by converting traditional prayer flags into compact first-aid kits. Called ‘Prayers for Safety’, the idea targets motorcyclists travelling through remote, high-altitude regions where immediate medical assistance is often unavailable.
Instead of being purely symbolic, these prayer flags double up as wearable first-aid kits. Each flag houses basic medical essentials that can be used to address minor injuries during rides, offering quick access to supplies without the need to carry a separate first-aid kit.

It is observed that many adventure motorcyclists riding to Leh-Ladakh and other Himalayan regions travel with limited medical safety preparations. Hero’s initiative aims to bridge this gap by integrating first-aid into something riders already use or mount on their motorcycles.
The first-aid prayer flags are being distributed through bike rental outlets, cafés, and designated pick-up points across popular riding hubs in the region. This not only makes them easily accessible but also improves basic preparedness for adventure riders.
