- Mavrick 440 is no longer on sale in India
- Company manufactured zero bikes in the last three months
- One of the best bikes in the BikeWale garage
Hero MotoCorp has decided to pull the plug on its most expensive motorcycle, the Mavrick 440. A lot of dealers in Maharashtra have stopped taking any bookings for this motorcycle.
Hero MotoCorp has also stopped dispatching any units of Mavrick 440 to its dealers. In fact, the company hasn’t manufactured and dispatched a single unit of this bike in the last three months. Before that, the company was barely able to sell triple-digit units.
The Hero Mavrick 440 was launched a few years ago and is based on the platform that also has the Harley-Davidson X440. While the X440 has managed to bring in decent sales numbers for the company, the Mavrick 440 hasn’t managed to make much difference. A lot of blame goes to the poor marketing campaigns of the bike, and along with that, the bike’s styling didn’t really make the bike look aspirational.
The Mavrick 440 is possibly one of the best motorcycles ever made by Hero MotoCorp. The combination of punchy motor, easy riding dynamics, and comfortable suspension made it quite a famous bike at BikeWale. Sadly, the Indian consumers failed to see the other practical aspects of the bike, which led to the failure of such an interesting Hero MotoCorp.
