- Built around the 1250cc Revolution Max engine
- Showcased the one-off at Mama Tried 2026 in Milwaukee
- No production decision announced by Harley-Davidson yet
Harley-Davidson has presented what a modern cafe racer from Milwaukee could look like, with this achingly proportional one-off RMCR concept. The motorcycle was presented during Mama Tried 2026 in Milwaukee. The company’s official social post also describes it as a carbon-fibre concept built around the 1250cc Revolution Max engine and is a design-led factory idea.

RMCR stands for Revolution Max Cafe Racer. Designers wanted to see how far they could push the Revolution Max platform, and what magic they came out with. The 1250 version of this liquid-cooled V-twin produces up to 148bhp in the Pan America line and Harley-Davidson also says the engine works as a load-bearing chassis element reducing overall weight and improving rigidity.

The official post says the RMCR is a carbon-fibre concept. This carbon-fibre bodywork suits as it allows tight, clean surfaces while helping keep mass under control. The factory also ties the bike to the legacy of the original XLCR cafe racer giving the concept a heritage link without forcing it into retro design clichés. We think that balance is what makes the RMCR interesting. It looks more like the company is using an old idea to test a more focused performance identity for today.

There is no price yet and no promise of production, but the concept shows that Harley-Davidson is thinking in the right direction. Can somebody please knock some sense in Harley-Davidson and ask them to build it quick.
