The Harley-Davidson X440 T builds on the original X440 by addressing key drawbacks like polarising design and average quality, with subtle updates aimed at improving overall desirability. While our experience of riding the bike has been narrated in the first ride review, here’s a quick summary of that, along with the bike’s pictures.

Design changes include a longer and sleeker tail section, better-integrated tail lamp, improved grab rail, and a filled-in gap near the fuel tank, making the bike look more cohesive and complete.

Bar-end mirrors, new colour options, and refreshed graphics further distinguish the X440 T and make it easier on the eyes than the standard version.

Quality levels have been noticeably improved, with Harley claiming 72 changes, evident in parts like foot pegs, brake lever, chassis welds, and better-feeling switchgear.

The bike now gets ride-by-wire, bringing two ride modes, switchable traction control, rear ABS deactivation, panic braking alert, and a clear Bluetooth-enabled TFT display.

Mechanical hardware remains largely unchanged, with the same 440cc air/oil-cooled engine producing 27.3bhp and 38Nm, though minor suspension tweaks help reduce fork bottoming.

On the road, the X440 T feels easy and enjoyable to ride, with strong low-end torque, crisp throttle response, minimal vibrations up to 120kmph, and a light clutch with smooth gear shifts.

Handling is confidence-inspiring with stable cornering, good tyre grip, and strong braking, though the front brake lever could offer better feel during hard braking.

While the X440 T is a more desirable and well-rounded package than before, its Rs. 2.79 lakh price makes it expensive against rivals, though the bigger engine, added features, and Harley-Davidson brand appeal help justify the premium.
