- Gets a different tail section and seat
- Four new colours revealed
- Mechanical specifications might be unchanged
Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp’s partnership has spawned the second product after the X440 was introduced over two years ago. Christened the X440 T, this motorcycle is almost identical to its existing 440 sibling with a few seemingly subtle yet notable changes.

The company has released a few images of the bike from the rear-three-quarter to make the changes look more pronounced. It gets a tweaked rear section with a longer tail cowl integrating a lengthier seat. This not only adds more visual mass to the bike but should also make it more comfortable for the pillion as compared to the standard version. Now, whether Harley had to tweak the sub-frame to accommodate the revised tail and seat is something we’ll know at a later stage. Moreover, the standard mirrors have made way for the bar-end units.

The rest of the changes on the Harley Davidson X440 T over the base model seem visual. There are four new colour options with fresh graphics on the tank and panels. The exhaust canister incorporates a shield, and there are bronze accents on the engine casing. A close inspection also reveals that the untidily placed throttle cable of the base model is absent on the T. This could either be an indication of a neater placement or inclusion of ride-by-wire throttle. If it’s the latter case, we might see the introduction of more features such as ride modes and a switchable traction control system.
The mechanical details, including engine, frame, suspension, wheels, and brakes, look identical to the standard X440. We believe the X440 T will sit above the standard iteration as a more premium and feature-rich offering with a slightly higher price tag.
