Honda has unveiled the CB1000GT, a brand-new sport tourer, at the 2025 EICMA show in Milan. The motorcycle promises to offer the power and handling of a naked sports machine with the comfort and practicality of a long-distance tourer, says Honda.
The design of the CB1000GT reflects its grand touring intent, with a sharp, sculpted front cowl and shrouds. It certainly looks appealing and offers a fresh take on Honda’s GT designs.
Powering the CB1000GT is the same 1,000cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline four-cylinder engine from the CB1000 Hornet. It features revised fuel injection and throttle-by-wire settings for smoother throttle response.
Under the bodywork, the motorcycle uses a steel diamond frame derived from the Hornet, with a newly designed subframe for improved stability and the ability to carry both a pillion and luggage with ease.
To further enhance ride quality, Honda has equipped the CB1000GT with the EERA (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment) suspension system. Using data from a six-axis IMU and engine control sensors, the system automatically adjusts damping based on road and riding conditions.
In terms of electronics, the CB1000GT comes with four riding modes: Standard, Sport, Rain, and Tour, along with a customisable User mode. A quick shifter and Honda RoadSync connectivity system are standard, allowing riders to pair smartphones via Bluetooth for calls and navigation.
Honda will also offer a range of official accessories, including top boxes, panniers, comfort seats, and tall windscreens. The bike is expected to go on sale in India by early 2026.
