Ducati XDiavel recalled in US over side-stand issue

- XDiavel recalled over side-stand defect 

- Side-stand bracket may fatigue under load 

Ducati has issued a recall in US that current affects its performance cruiser, the XDiavel. According to the company, the side-stand has a defect that will be fixed by the company. 

A total of 1601 units manufactured between 2016 and 2018 are a part of this recall. The S version is also affected by this issue. As per NHTSA documents, the side stand bracket may fatigue under load, resulting in failure of the side stand assembly and a potential for the motorcycle to fall when stationary on the stand. 

The Italian maker also said that none of their customers have come back to them and reported this issue. Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will install a new side stand bracket free of charge. The recall is expected to begin March 15, 2021.
