    Ducati Streetfighter V4/ V4 S Launch: Top 5 Highlights

Ducati India has rolled out the updated Streetfighter V4 range for 2025, with prices starting at Rs. 28.68 lakh for the standard variant and Rs. 32.38 lakh for the higher-spec V4 S (both ex-showroom, India). The Italian hyper-naked features a number of mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic updates, further sharpening what is already one of the most extreme street bikes on sale today. Here are the top five highlights.

    Updated Desmosedici Stradale Engine

At the heart of the 2025 Streetfighter V4 sits the 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine derived from the new Panigale V4. It now meets Euro 5+ and E20 fuel standards while retaining its manic performance figures — 212bhp at 13,500rpm and 120Nm at 11,250rpm. Ducati has reworked the torque delivery to make the motor more manageable on the road, offering improved mid-range performance. The bike also benefits from a new cooling layout and revised calibration to ensure smoother throttle response.

    Sharper and Lighter

Ducati has employed a lighter front frame and a redesigned, symmetrical double-sided swingarm that enhances stability and feedback. The Streetfighter V4 S tips the scales at just 197.5kg (dry), thanks to its forged aluminium wheels and lithium-ion battery, while the standard model weighs slightly more. Together with the superbike-derived geometry, the Streetfighter remains agile yet planted — equally capable on a racetrack or a winding mountain road.

    Advanced Electronics

As with all modern Ducatis, the Streetfighter V4 range is loaded with electronic rider aids governed by a six-axis IMU. It gets updated versions of traction control, slide control, wheelie control, and engine brake control, along with launch control and cornering ABS. The Ducati Power Launch and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 systems have been refined for smoother gearshifts and acceleration. Riders can choose from multiple riding and power modes that alter throttle response, engine braking, and suspension behaviour for both road and track use.

    Aerodynamic Improvements

The signature wings remain a defining element of the Streetfighter’s aggressive design, generating significant downforce to keep the front end planted during hard acceleration. Ducati has also revised the bodywork and cooling ducts to improve heat dissipation while maintaining aerodynamic efficiency. Combined with the naked sportbike silhouette and premium detailing, the 2025 model looks aggressive and characterful.

    Variant Differences

The standard Streetfighter V4 comes equipped with fully adjustable Showa Big Piston forks and a Sachs rear shock. The V4 S variant, meanwhile, steps up to Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 semi-active suspension, forged aluminium wheels, and a lighter lithium battery. Both versions feature a full-colour TFT display with refreshed graphics and the latest generation of Ducati’s interface, offering improved readability and easier mode selection.

With this update, Ducati has made the Streetfighter V4 range even more refined without losing its raw edge. It continues to offer superbike levels of performance and handling while not being too taxing to ride in terms of ergonomics. That said, it is quite expensive.
