- Comes in two variants with varying tenure
- Available for Monster and Multistrada V4 Range
Ducati has introduced its first periodic maintenance contract in India. Christened the ‘Ducati Protect,’ this package aims to provide comprehensive maintenance coverage to its customers at an affordable price.
The contract is available in two options – Ducati Protect Plus, which offers a coverage of two years or 15,000km, while the Ducati Protect Pro extends the coverage tenure to four years or 30,000km. The motorcycles that are eligible for these packages include the Monster and Multistrada V4 range, including V4, V4 S, Pikes Peak, and Rally. The model-wise prices of these packages are as follows:
Monster
Ducati Protect Plus (2 Years/15,000km): 25,999
Ducati Protect Pro (4 Years/30,000km): 68,999
Multistrada V4
Ducati Protect Plus (2 Years/15,000km): Rs. 29,999
Ducati Protect Pro (4 Years/30,000km): Rs. 52,999

These packages include spare parts and labour for all periodic (scheduled) services, and they are transferable to the subsequent owners in case the bike is sold. Do note that consumables such as brake pads, clutch plates, tyres, and a few other parts are not included in these packages. The main benefits of these packages include cost savings by locking in current prices and maintenance of a proper service record, which should help in mitigating the depreciation of the bike’s value for resale.
We think this is a great move by the Italian brand, considering Ducatis are some of the most expensive motorcycles to maintain, and even the spares aren’t cheap. The new packages should help the brand give some peace of mind to its customers.
