Ducati has launched the Desmo450 MX in India at Rs 17.23 lakh, ex-showroom.With this launch, the Italian manufacturer has entered the country’s off-road and motocross segment for the first time.
The Desmo450 MX is powered by a 449.6cc, single-cylinder engine that uses Ducati’s signature Desmodromic valve system. Ducati says that the Desmo 450 MX’s engine has a broad powerband with strong torque at low and mid revs while maintaining performance at higher revs. The motorcycle also features an advanced electronics package, including a traction control system that can measure rear wheel slip and intervene only when required.

The bike uses a lightweight aluminium frame designed with minimal welds to enhance rigidity and agility. The frame is suspended by a Showa USD fork and a monoshock, both of which are adjustable. Braking, meanwhile, is taken care of by a 260mm disc at the front and 240mm disc at the rear.
Bookings for the motorcycle have already begun, and deliveries are scheduled to start by the end of March 2026. The bike will be available at four select Ducati dealerships in India, including those in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Pune.
Ducati will also offer a range of accessories through its Ducati Performance catalogue. These include factory components such as machined wheel hubs and triple clamps, a complete Akrapovič titanium exhaust system, and Brembo Racing brake calipers.
