CF Moto 650MT- What to expect

CF Moto is scheduled to make its entry into India in a couple of weeks and will also launch four motorcycles at the same time. While we let you know about the 300NK and 650NK recently, here is what you can expect from CF Moto’s touring variant called the 650MT.

Design and Features

The CF Moto 650MT is a touring-focused motorcycle and to suit its body style, it gets a semi-fairing that incorporates a full-LED headlamp and a tall-windscreen with additional deflectors on the side. The bike gets a single piece seat and at the rear offers pannier racks on both sides. Furthermore, the 650MT also features a large engine guard, a sump guard and knuckle guards to complete its touring character.

In terms of features, the 650MT sports a digital instrument cluster which displays speed, gear indicator, time, fuel gauge, trip meter and odometer. The console also has two different layouts that can be changed via the switchgear. The CF Moto 650MT, like much of its competition, doesn’t boast of a lot of electronic aids, although it does get a dual-channel ABS unit.

Engine

Powering the CF Moto 650MT is a 649cc, parallel-twin motor that churns out 60bhp of power and 56Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive.

Cycle Parts

The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends which are wrapped tyres sourced from Metzeler. Suspension duties are taken care of by inverted forks up front with 140mm of travel and a monoshock at the rear which offers 45mm of travel. Meanwhile, the 650MT’s braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends. The touring motorcycle is equipped with a large 18-litre fuel tank and has a kerb weight of 218kg.

Pricing

While CF Moto hasn’t revealed the pricing of its motorcycles yet, we expect to them to be priced competitively. The 650MT is likely to be introduced with a sticker price of around Rs 5 lakhs. It will directly compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650 in India which costs Rs 6.69 lakhs, ex-showroom.
