- Discontinued since January 2025
- No inventory with dealerships across India
BMW Motorrad seems to have discontinued the G 310 R and its adventure twin, the G 310 GS, in India. The reason for discontinuing these models is that the 310 platform is at the end of its lifecycle, and BMW has decided not to upgrade these models to the OBD-2B emission norms.

According to our sources, the bikes have been discontinued since January 2025, and dealerships haven’t received any fresh dispatches from the factory. Notably, BMW was offering a discount of up to Rs. 50,000 on the 310 twins till December 2025. Most BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country don’t have any unsold inventory of the 310 twins.

That said, the German bike maker will continue to sell the BMW G 310 RR in India for the foreseeable future. Moreover, the upcoming BMW F 450 GS launch is in the pipeline, and the 450cc platform-based motorcycles will be the entry point into the BMW Motorrad world in the near future. However, the F 450 GS is expected to be launched towards the end of this year, and the only entry-level model from BMW till then will be the G 310 RR.
On a side note, TVS will continue selling the 310-based bikes in India till the new 300cc RTX-D4-based bikes are launched in India.
