- Both bikes will be manufactured by TVS at its Hosur factory
- BMW F 450 GS could be launched around the festive period
- Norton Atlas likely to launch by end of 2026
The upcoming BMW F 450 GS and Norton Atlas have been spied testing together in India. Interestingly, both bikes have already made their official debut at EICMA 2025 in Italy. However, their India launch timelines appear to have been pushed further.
Both motorcycles will be manufactured by TVS Motor Company at its Hosur facility in Tamil Nadu. Sources suggest the company is currently working on ironing out supply chain challenges and aligning production timelines before rolling out these motorcycles in the market.
Meanwhile, BMW Motorrad is said to be prioritising developed markets first. The German brand is likely to launch the F 450 GS internationally before bringing it to our shores. This would be a bummer considering it’s manufactured here.
The BMW F 450 GS is powered by an all-new 421cc, parallel-twin engine producing around 48bhp and 43.5Nm of peak torque. It is expected to be offered in multiple variants with different equipment levels, and will rival entry-level middleweight adventure motorcycles such as the Honda NX 500, KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the upcoming CFMoto 450MT.
On the other hand, the Norton Atlas will be positioned higher up the ladder. The motorcycle will feature a larger 585cc, twin-cylinder engine that is expected to produce close to 70bhp. It will take on models like the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750.
