We are just an hour away from the official unveil of Bajaj’s new Urbanite brand. Along with that, it will also unveil their first e-scooter, which is likely to be called the Urbanite Chetak.
We spent some time browsing through Bajaj Auto’s official website and found one interesting picture that was hidden deep down. That image represented the official logo of this new e-scooter and was named Chetak. The Chetak used to be a legendary name in the world of scooters a few decades ago. It looks like Bajaj wants to use that moniker as it believes that Chetak still has a very strong brand recall.
This e-scooter will first make its way to Pune and Bengaluru. The former is Bajaj’s home ground whereas the latter already has some charging infrastructure. Doing a phase-wise launch will help the Pune-based manufacturer deal with any kind of issues the product faces.
It’s still not sure if Bajaj will just unveil their new e-scooter or will launch and give out the prices today. We also hope the company surprises us with their EV plans.
