Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch a new electric scooter under its popular Chetak lineup. The new scooter will be called the Chetak 3001.
While details aren’t confirmed yet, the new model could either be an addition to the current range or a replacement for the existing Chetak 2903. The Bajaj Chetak 3001 is expected to feature a 3.1kW electric motor, delivering a top speed of 62kmph. This would make it suitable for daily urban commutes. In line with its name, the scooter is likely to come equipped with a 3kWh battery pack.

In terms of design, we expect the Chetak 3001 to be identical to the existing Chetak range. Dimensionally, the scooter will measure 1,914mm in length, 725mm in width, and 1,143mm in height, with a ground clearance of 168mm. It will have a wheelbase of 1,355mm, an unladen weight of 123kg, and will ride on 90/90-12 section tyres at both ends.
Bajaj is expected to price the Chetak 3001 around the Rs. 1 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. With the launch anticipated this week, more official details should follow soon.
