- Bajaj hopes to increase market share
Bajaj Auto is all set to comprehensively revamp its popular Pulsar portfolio in the next four months. During his recent Q3 FY-26 earnings call for Bajaj Auto Limited, Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of the company, confirmed that as many as eight new Pulsar models will be launched by May 2026. These will be mild refreshes as well as comprehensive upgrades.
As pointed out by Rakesh during the call, the company has made seven different revisions in its portfolio since November, with the most recent ones being the launch of the 2026 Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125. Going forward, the spokesperson affirmed that the entire portfolio, including the OG Pulsar, the NS series, and the more modern N series, will witness an overhaul. With these changes, the company believes that it will outpace industry growth in the 125cc and 150cc plus segments.

We believe the N series will not receive any major upgrades since the platform it is based on is already fairly new. The NS line-up, meanwhile, should be overhauled substantially as most of the bikes in this family have been long in the tooth in terms of design, engine, and equipment. The NS 160 and NS 200, in particular, should be bestowed with more tech and a visual makeover, if not major hardware changes.
As for the NS400Z, the flagship Pulsar might get its engine downsized to sub-350cc to fall in the 18 per cent GST category and be priced more affordably. However, that might take longer due to the initial focus on downsizing being on Triumph’s 400cc offerings.
