- Bajaj will revamp its Pulsar portfolio in 2026
- First bike in the updated lineup could be a 125cc model
- We could also see a downsized NS400Z, too
In a recent interview, Rajiv Bajaj confirmed that Bajaj Auto will be working on revamping the entire Pulsar lineup in 2026, as part of the Pulsar brand’s 25th anniversary year. We think the first bike in the updated Pulsar lineup will be a sporty 125cc commuter, likely based on the Bajaj Pulsar N125.
This makes sense as the 125cc segment is heating up, with TVS and Hero launching new top-end variants of the Raider and Xtreme 125R, respectively. Bajaj does not have a feature-packed sporty 125cc model in this segment that can compete with the new competition.
Models like the Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar NS125 have become a bit dated, with the same old design. The feature set on both bikes is also quite basic, so this upcoming 125cc Pulsar could be Bajaj’s opportunity to try something fresh.
Bajaj had tried to do this with the N125, but it looked quite different compared to the other models in the brand’s N series and wasn’t well received by Pulsar fans overall. We think Bajaj might use the same engine, but make some changes to the design and also add some much-needed modern features. A more premium console and an extensive set of connected features can be expected.

Later in 2026, we can also expect the bikemaker to launch a downsized version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, with a sub-350cc engine. Since GST 2.0 has come into effect, bikes above 350cc are taxed at 40 per cent. Bajaj has so far absorbed the impact of this tax hike by not raising prices, but it is not sustainable in the long term. For perspective, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is currently sold at Rs. 1,92,794 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Downsizing the engine below 350cc will help the manufacturer take advantage of the lower GST rate of 18 per cent, compared to the earlier 28 per cent. This will help Bajaj offer bikes with good performance at a relatively affordable price point.
